The PCIe x8 Gen3 Dual-Port is a switch-based cable adapter and has a DMA controller as well as optional NT ports. The cable adapter operates in I/O expansion or networking mode with a DIP switch setting change. The cable adapter comes with a standard height bracket installed.
About PCI Express Interfaces

The transmission technology is based on two differential pairs of lines, known as links or lanes, one of which is used to send data and the other to receive it.
