PCIe x16 Gen3 iPass – Cable Adapter (OSS-PCIe-HIB38-x16)
PCIe cable adapters can be easily installed into a computer’s PCIe slot. A PCIe cable can then be plugged into the adapter to extend the PCIe bus from the motherboard to an external device, such as an expansion enclosure or storage device. The PCIe x16 Gen3 iPass adapter extends the PCIe bus at 120 Gbps with ultra-low latency because no conversion software is required.
About PCI Express Interfaces
PCIe (PCI Express) is a high-speed internal interface that can be used to connect multiple servers and boards to a telecommunications server or to a computer system. The transmission technology is based on two differential pairs of lines, known as links or lanes, one of which is used to send data and the other to receive it. A total of up to 32 of these links can be bundled together to increase speed as much as possible.
