Active PICMG Backplane with increased amount of PCI/PCIe slots
The model PBPE-13A8 is a third generation active PICMG bus board with a broad variety of interfaces and a 24 pin ESP 12V Power Connector support for a stable power supply of all connections, making it suitable for industrial operations for example the installation in a 4U chassis.
In contrast to traditional backplanes that only allow passive components, the active chipset on the bus board enables an increased amount of PCI slots (up to 18). The PBPE-13A8 offers 13 PICMG 1.3 slots (non-server-grade), 3 PCIe x1, 1 PCIex16 slot as well as 8 PCI interfaces, 4 USB ports and one Dual SATA port.
